Project Description
Self-elevating, Jack-Up vessels are commonly used for multiple purposes in offshore projects, from drilling into large depth oil wells, to windmill park installations.
The azimuth rudders used for the propulsion and maneuvering of the ship are installed on the thruster foundation structure of the vessel.
Thruster foundations are subjected to vibrational loads, originated by the azimuth rudders.
The purpose of this analysis was to investigate if the thruster foundation resonates with the azimuth rudder propeller frequencies, during operation.
For this project a modal and a vibrational analysis was performed.
